Two Towns is a collaboration with Design West, a place shaping agency working across the Southwest. Two Towns co-created placemaking strategies for Clevedon and Nailsea in North Somerset. We worked with the Town Councils and North Somerset Council and key local stakeholders to create a vision and shared priorities for the future and test design approaches to key sites. The strategies explore how to adapt and reinvigorate the two town centres to meet the needs of communities for new homes and leisure, culture, and commerce through short and long – term changes. An action plan for placemaking activity will empower communities to generate local investment, support health & wellbeing & action the climate emergency.
