Wilstockhub

This is a community led initiative to create indoor community amenity for 1000 new homes and growing in between Bridgwater and North Petherton. The proposal for a multipurpose community hall, kitchen and café, community rooms and a creche won planning permission early in Spring 2020 and was gifted its site by Bloor Homes.

The building is designed to have an engaging street presence – with an entrance between the two main wings of the building aligned to the view of nearby veteran oak trees. This leads to a café and informal meeting area that can spill out onto a south facing terrace overlooking a community garden and MUGA. A generous kitchen can be used for cookery classes or to support events in the hall. As well as the main hall there are two smaller community rooms facing the street and a creche with its own secure garden.
